Welcome to the Association for Women in Psychology

The Association for Women in Psychology (AWP) is an interdisciplinary organization that attends to issues and concerns at the intersections of feminism and psychology. The annual national AWP conference is the catalyst that brings together activists, students, academics, clinicians, government and policy workers, researchers, and folks from the nonprofit sector (among many others!) for a weekend of working towards building feminist community and connection, and exciting exchanges of dialogue, ideas, and social actions. Between conferences, stay connected to AWP through the "Members Area" of our website, connecting with various Caucuses and/or local AWP chapters (or start one in your area!).

Los Angeles County Wildfires

As devastating wildfires continue to impact Los Angeles County, our AWP community stands united in supporting those affected. Here's how you can help:

Donate: Financial contributions to organizations like the American Red Cross, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and California Community Foundation's Wildfire Recovery Fund provide critical resources for immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts.

Volunteer: Local organizations need volunteers to assist with various tasks. Check with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank or Mutual Aid LA Network for opportunities.

Provide Shelter: If you're able, consider offering temporary housing through Airbnb's Open Homes program.

Support First Responders: Donate to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to equip firefighters with essential tools and supplies.

Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference in supporting our neighbors and first responders during this challenging time.
